Question by Geisha VT poser: Are American comedians influenced by British ones, visa versa, or are we separate in our humour?
the very fact we spell humour differently illustrates we have a difference of opinion!
Can you describe some UK or US comedians who have been influenced by people from the other?

I know Laurel and Hardy were 50% US and UK.

Friends and the Simpsons are the biggest comedies we have recieved, but don’t seem to have influenced us.
Monty Python is cited as humour that worked in the US for some reason.

The Office, and other such comedies, without a laughter track and naturalistic, who’s idea was this? was it the man who created Seinfield?

Which comedians of the UK are heard of in America?
American comedians I like are;
Bill Hicks
Steve Carrel
Will Farrel

the rest dont really translate
