Question by emo_vamp666: Where can i find teen men japanese fashion? (not google)?
I’m totally in love with japanese fashion. does anyone know a website (in english) that can help me out? it needs to have advice, links to stores, pics ect. ect. I’d prefer it if it was based around the emo/goth look.

what im looking for is:
hair
clothes (all seasons)
shoes
accessories (belts, sun glasses, armbands, ect.)

so, please help me out, i’d really appreciate it

and for all the genius’s out there, google is not a japanese fashion site…so stop using it!

Hello, it sounds like you’re interested in Harajuku fashion, the district mainly has Visual Kei cosplayers and Gothic Lolita fashion. I’m not sure where you’re located but here are a few Japanese stores worth visiting if you are in the area.

Kinokuniya: http://bookweb.kinokuniya.co.jp/indexohb.cgi?AREA=03 the website is a little bit hard to navigate, but it has Japanese and English translation mixed. You can find locations at the bottom.

Book off: http://www.bookoff.co.jp/en/index.html This is a used book store, they sell CDs and books/magazines/manga that is second hand.

Another major place to check out would be Mitsuwa: http://www.mitsuwa.com/english/index.html they are a grocery store/market place but USUALLY they will have a japanese book store and what not near by in the same shopping center. The one in NJ does have a Kinokuniya across the street.

Here are a list of fashion magazines you may want to look at,
Kera magazine ex. http://www.flickr.com/photos/seventhsamurai/495386428/
Gothic & Lolita Bible: http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/magazine/detail_mag.html?KEY=401026

Here are a few bands you might find interesting,
Gazette: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zhi9L6lr91Q
Nightmare: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vMsVaIP38gg
Dir en Grey(when they were Visual Kei, they’ve changed their look) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WZTKFU2fol0
this is when they turned a little bit black metal: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F1nFCaZKdr0
Kana(classified as gothic lolita) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=olsd-6doRto

Alice Nine: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yiigVY7aAOc
Moi dix Mois: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ob3-LOV4rOI they don’t have any music videos really, mostly all live music.

If more come to mind I’ll add more to the list theres tons of Visual Kei bands out there.

Unfortunately it’s hard to find any japanese clothing stores around here, one official Japanese clothing store is Uniqlo, but they’re more of a GAP.

You can find clothes at Kinokuniya in the NYC store.

Again if anything else comes to mind I’ll add more to the list so check back 🙂 and if this isn’t the style you’re looking for let me know, I could be off about this. Feel free to contact me if you want more info/discuss 🙂 always nice to meet new people.

Oh, and here’s an information website on Visual Kei if you’re interested: http://www.visualkei.com/

And last list, these are websites that you could buy from if there are none of the stores around your area.
http://www.j-xyz.net/ it’s a little slow and hard to navigate but they have most visual kei/gothic lolita magazines. It’s a bit confusing, but click “Magazines” and then look to the left and there are a list of magazines available in a gray colored link.
http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/
www.yesasia.com but more specifically http://www.yesasia.com/us/japanese-collectibles-celebrity-merchandise-browse-by-category/0-0-11570-bpt.46-en/list.html look to the left side navigation, you’ll see there’s bags, wristbands, etc.

I’d also check ebay stores, there are people that sell “japanese” clothes there.
